Been So Lonely

The dog days,
and the cement boots
they adorn,
dragging me
down.
every minute,
is a place
I wish
I never knew
existed.
When you are lonely
you have nothing to lose.
I will be
a stone wall
tonight.
Block out all energy,
all hope for a happy life,
and any memory
that reminds you
of better days.

am
on
my own.
