Johnny told me yesterday that,
"Steel is strong because it knew
the hammer
and white heat."
But so do I,
And I never once felt strong.
I was weened off the magic,
cold turkey on the day
I crawled out and have been
battling the withdraw symptoms
all alone in the dark.
You can convince yourself
of whatever reality you want,
if you know how to smile
and speak fast.
There's no such thing as a
necessary evil.
